As an engineer, I have always been fascinated by mechanics and by the way each component comes together to make the whole work. That fascination naturally led me to two worlds: automotive and watchmaking. I wanted to understand how a mechanical watch works down to the smallest detail, so I trained in Geneva as a watchmaker. In April 2018, the desire to bring these two passions together gave birth to Depancel.

The name Depancel combines Delage, Panhard and Facel Vega, three icons of the French automotive industry that shared the same vision: creating cars with character, designed above all for the pleasure of driving. Their creative freedom and philosophy continue to inspire each of our watches today.
