Terms of service

Your Depancel watch is guaranteed by Depancel, in accordance with the terms of this warranty. Depancel offers a warranty limited to defects in manufacturing and materials (with the exception of Strap and the clasp). This means that if the parts of your watch are defective or if the watch is incorrectly assembled, we will repair it within a period of time to be determined at the time of collection or replace it free of charge if necessary. Depancel will not be held responsible for any misuse of the watch that may cause it to malfunction. Normal wear and tear of the watch, case, glass or Strap is not covered by our warranty, nor is theft or loss. The warranty will be void if you open the watch case, immerse your watch in water or forget to screw the crown back on. For any non-warranty defects, you may be charged for services by the service centre depending on your watch model. In this case, our customer service will send you an estimate that you will have to accept before your watch can be taken care of. If your model is not available, a watch of equal value and similar style will be provided. A copy of the receipt or your completed warranty certificate is required as proof of purchase.

Any damage resulting from improper use, negligence, accidents or normal wear and tear.

This warranty will be void if the watch has been damaged as a result of an accident, negligence on the part of anyone other than Depancel sales and service agents, unauthorized servicing, or other factors not related to a defect in material or workmanship. The following warranties and remedies are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, terms or conditions, express, implied or statutory with respect to any matter, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, satisfactory quality, title and non-infringement, all of which are expressly disclaimed by Depancel. In no event shall Depancel be liable for any indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the sale or use of this product, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict product liability or any other theory, even if Depancel has been previously advised of the possibility of such damages and even if any remedy provided herein fails of its essential purpose. Depancel's total liability shall be limited to replacement or repair, at Depancel's sole discretion. However, some countries, states or provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or the limitation of consequential damages. Therefore, the above limitations and exclusions may be limited in their application to you. Where implied warranties cannot be excluded in their entirety, they will be limited to the duration of the applicable written warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; depending on local law, you may have additional rights. Your statutory rights are not affected by this warranty.

If you have the battery in your watch replaced by a service provider that is not a Depancel authorized repair centre, such replacement does not void this warranty as long as such replacement (I) is done at a competent and legitimate repair centre, (II) is not done in a negligent manner, and (III) is reassembled properly, including, but not limited to, replacement of the gasket if necessary to ensure proper water resistance.

Depancel has the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether or not battery replacement by a third party will void your warranty. Request for repair within and outside the warranty period.

If you require a warranty repair, please send your watch, a copy of your receipt or warranty certificate, and a completed watch repair form (found on the Depancel website at www.depancel.com) to the Authorised International Repair Centre listed below. Please do not send the original packaging of the watch; it will not be returned to you. Depancel strongly recommends that you insure your package and ensure that your watch is well protected for shipping. Depancel will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
