Building on the success of our Allure Valjoux 92 W&W limited series, created in collaboration with Worn & Wound last year, we return this year with a new exclusive edition of just 20 pieces, named “Bleu de France”.
Our ambition remains unchanged: to highlight the expertise of our French watchmakers, who have undertaken the demanding task of restoring the legendary Valjoux 92 Swiss chronograph movement.
With the Allure Valjoux 92 Bleu de France, Depancel reaffirms its commitment to the heritage of mechanical watchmaking. This watch embodies Depancel's passion for period movements and its desire to perpetuate a precious art of precision, patience and authenticity.

legendary vintage chronograph movement
Born and manufactured in Switzerland in the 50s and 60s, the Valjoux 92 incorporated the technological innovation of the famous oscillating pinion, enabling the chronograph to operate much more efficiently thanks to a coupling system linking the chronograph part to the watch part of the movement with extreme precision, and became a benchmark among manual chronograph movements of the era.

In addition to its innovative coupling mechanism, the Valjoux 92 features a column wheel for smooth chronograph release, 17 jewels, a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, and a 39-hour power reserve.
This historic movement has been entirely restored and modified by Depancel's watchmakers, giving it a second life while respecting its DNA. It is now visible through a transparent case back, a contemporary opening that reveals the beauty of this exceptional mechanism.
This watch perfectly embodies the Depancel spirit: a subtle balance between watchmaking heritage and modernity, where each component tells a story, while being part of a resolutely forward-looking vision.
TIMELESS DESIGN
The design of the Depancel Allure Valjoux 92 Bleu de France follows in the footsteps of the Allure collection, taking up its elegant yet sporty codes, sublimated by a very contemporary neo-vintage touch.
Unlike traditional chronographs, this watch features a boldly designed dial with a centrally positioned pulsometric scale, which can be read in an original way thanks to the rear end of the chronograph seconds hand.
The Bleu de France color, chosen as the dial's main hue, draws its inspiration from the world of classic French cars. This emblematic shade, made famous by Bugatti in particular, evokes the refinement and performance of vintage French automobiles. It gives the watch a distinctive character, charged with heritage and mechanical passion.
